The choices in wound care product use should be guided by scientific research. With more than 150 companies selling between 200 -300 different brands of wound dressings, there is need to have scientific research pointing to the most cost effective wound dressing. Currently, there are very few studies or randomized clinical trials that compare one wound dressing to another.
