Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and most aggressive malignant primary brain tumour. Despite the aggressiveness of the applied therapy, the prognosis remains poor with a median survival to of about 15 months. It is important to identify new candidate genes that could have clinical application in this disease. Previous gene expression studies from human GBM samples in our laboratory, revealed Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 15 (USP15) as a gene with low expression, significantly associated with genomic deletions of the chromosomal region encompassing the USP15 locus.
