The Fisher Lake Pluton, Northern Sierra Nevada, was formed incrementally in Creta- ceous times (ca.llOMa), forming a zoned pluton grading from diorites interspersed with irregular gabbro bodies to granodiorites and granités as one moves to the East. The diorite bodies are of particular interest, as the show widespread evidence of magma flow structures, and in particular, large sections of comb layers and orbicules bodies. These features, throughout the past 40 years, have been either described as forming through processes of fluid-flow, metamorphism or magma-mixing at the rims of cooling plutons.
