This chapter will discuss findings from recent international comparative studies of early childhood education and care, in particular the recent OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) thematic review (2012) reported in Starting Strong III will be examined. A discussion of approaches to early childhood curricula from a range of countries will provide students with an overview of international trends and provision for early childhood education and care
