Atmospheric particulate matter (PM) has substantial impacts on climate, air quality, and human health. A substantial fraction of atmospheric PM is constituted of secondary organic aerosol (SOA), which is formed in the atmosphere through the oxidation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
