Choosing Our Energy Future: Town Hall Discussion of Georgia’s Options for Implementing the Clean Power Plan

Her current research addresses the development and deployment of sustainable energy technologies and the design of policy options to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.Kevin Kelly assists the Southface Energy Institute with energy policy development, with a special focus on promoting clean energy solutions to meet environmental regulations.Karen Hays in the Branch Chief of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, Air Protection Branch.Michael Elliot is an Associate Professor in the School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech. He teaches and conducts research in the areas of public policy, energy policy, and corporate sustainability. Georgia must submit its initial state plan for implementing the Clean Power Plan by September 2016. Georgia Tech and Climate@Emory are co-hosting a Town Hall meeting to explore the key decisions Georgia must make in developing its state plan and the potential impacts these decisions will have on our environment, our economy, our pocketbooks and our health. This event is intended to engage a broad range of stakeholders, including policymakers, practitioners, students, and the general public
