This paper presents several lessons learned from the ongoing work of NATO IST-132 RTG-063 which is focused on data and information fusion incorporating structured and unstructured human generated information with device-generated data. Recommendations for the synergic information processing between low and high level fusion applications using soft and hard data will be discussed. A second topic of discussion is domain and threat modelling that takes into account the dimensions of low- and high-level fusion and hard and soft data. These aspects will be discussed using the experience gained in a small live experiment conducted by the Task Group
