Dr William Miall (1917-2004) was a member of the scientific staff of the MRC’s Pneumoconiosis Research Unit from 1951 to 1961, when he joined the MRC’s Epidemiological Research Unit until appointed Director of the MRC Epidemiology Unit in Jamaica from 1962 to 1970.
