BACKGROUND C-reactive protein (CRP) is associated with immune, cardiometabolic, and psychiatric traits and diseases. Yet it is inconclusive whether these associations are causal. METHODS AND FINDINGS We performed Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses using two genetic risk scores (GRSs) as instrumental variables (IVs).
