PENGOLAHAN AIR DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENUKAR ION UNTUK MENURUNKAN NILAI KESADAHAN DAN TOTAL PADATAN TERLARUT DALAM AIR SUNGAI BLIBIS KELURAHAN KEDUNGMUNDU (Processing of The Water by Using Ion Exchanger to Decrease Water Hardness and Total Dissolved Solid from The Blibis’s River Water in Kedungmundu)

Ion exchange is a method of processing units that consist of a chemical reaction between ions in the liquid phase with the ion insoluble solid media (resin). Hardness analysis was conducted by titration called complexometric titration. Titration is performed using a titrant in the form of EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid) titration indicators are EBT (Eriochrom Black T). TDS analysis is done by using a Benchtop Meters Laboratory where this tool has a function as TDS meter. A decrease in hardness and TDS most likely in the variable valve aperture 1/3, this is because the water that comes into the column has a longer contact with the resin for column flow over flow, so more and more exchange of metal ions in water with ions in resin and the less the water can conduct electricity.
