ANALISIS PENERAPAN ONLINE PUBLIC ACCESS CATALOGUE (OPAC) TERHADAP POLA PERILAKU PENCARIAN INFORMASI OLEH PEMUSTAKA DI UPT PERPUSTAKAAN UNIVERSITAS ISLAM SULTAN AGUNG SEMARANG

This paper discusses the "Analysis of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) Application of the Information Search Behavior Patterns by the visitors in the Library Unit of Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA) Semarang". The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the implementation of the OPAC on information search behavior patterns by the visitors in UPT UNISSULA library. Method research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The population in this study are all members of the library (users ) in UPT UNISSULA library. Samples taken in this study amounted to 99 respondents with sampling technique is non- probability sampling, by sampling accidental. Indicators contained in the variable application of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) are access to information, offers more access points and information retrieval. Indicators of information search behavior patterns are initiation, selection, exploration, formulation, collection, and presentation. Data analysis uses simple linear regression analysis with t test to determine how much influence the application of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) of the information search behavior patterns. From the results of hypothesis testing that has been done shows that the value of t count > t table, is, 15.224 > 1.661. Thus, H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, the results can be interpreted that there is a significant is 84% effect of the application of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) on the pattern of information
