Add to ORKGThe premise of this book is that law can be studies as discourse, as a conversation among many actors who speak languages laden with value. Some of these actors are the courts, Congress, state and local legislatures, the bar, the media and, indirectly but importantly, the people – society itself. In this book, we will examine the discourse generated in one area of the law – energy and natural resource law. What we call “the regulatory dialogue” is a conversation among various legal actors who often speak very different languages.
