A 3-D micromagnetic multiscale model has been developed to describe high-frequency excitations in magnetic antidot structures. By calculating first the effective parameters of the metamaterial, it is possible to calculate the magnetization behavior on the micrometer scale under the excitation of a field generated by a coplanar waveguide. We induced and detected magnetostatic spin waves (SWs) in Ni80Fe20 thin films with an antidot structure obtained by two different lithographic methods: 1) well-ordered structures produced by electron beam lithography and 2) disordered systems obtained by self-assembled nanospheres lithography.
