The chapter presents some reflexions on the mega event as a process of "production of territory". This theoretical approach is applied to the case of Turin's Olympic Winter Games 2006 through the examination of some specific issues: the new geography between the city and the montains, the territorialization process and the legacy for the city, the change of the city image and the effects of global crisis.
