Graduation date: 1964The Permian rocks near Quinn River Crossing, Humboldt County,\ud Nevada, crop out as a north-trending block-faulted ridge and consist\ud of more than 2600 feet of middle Permian fossiliferous limestone.\ud About 1000 feet of unfossiliferous cherty shales, sandstones, and\ud conglomerates are associated with the limestone and are assumed also\ud to be of Permian age. In addition, tertiary igneous rocks make up\ud part of the ridge.\ud Normal faults transect the ridge at several localities along\ud its 9500-foot length, and some of the beds have been folded.\ud The fauna of the limestone is middle and upper Leonardian in\ud age and consists mainly of fusulinids and associated small Foraminifera,\ud solitary and colonial c...
