The report of the United Nation\u27s World Assembly on Aging of 1982 emphasized that the spiritual, cultural and socio-economic contributions of the aging are valuable to society and should be recognized and promoted further. Toward this goal, and to offer a view of healthy aging, five active elders were interviewed in-depth using a life cycle narrative method. This is defined as a subjective expression of a person\u27s entire life experience and world view. Sacred and secular aspects of culture are considered for their influence in shaping personality and normal development across the life span.
