This descriptive exploratory study was designed to gain insights on the experience of growing up with a chronic health disease, such as cystic fibrosis (CF), from the insider\u27s perspective of adolescents and young adults with CF. Based on topical life histories of these informants the aims of the study were to describe and analyze: the centrality of the disease in the lives of the young individuals with CF, the way they constructed others\u27 perception of them, and the ways they managed disease related information and medical regimens.
