Report completed by students enrolled in LS 5100: Revitalizing Environmental Reform: Re-Imagining the Arts for Public Parks, taught by Roslye Ultan in spring 2015.This project was completed as part of a year-long partnership between the City of Rosemount and the University of Minnesota’s Resilient Communities Project (http://www.rcp.umn.edu). Placemaking is a people-centered approach to the planning, design, and management of public spaces, and is important for building strong communities. The goal of this project was to maximize the benefits of Rosemount’s public spaces such as community centers, churches, cafes, and coffee shops.
