The University of Minnesota, Department of Forest Resources in cooperation with Region 3 of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has created a spatial database to model the vegetation cover of the Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Aitkin County, Minnesota including the Sandstone Unit in adjacent Pine County, Minnesota.
