Author Institution: Department of Chemistry, University of Illinois at ChicagoWe have measured the magnetic vibrational circular dichroism (MVCD) of NO at 0.1, 0.2, 2, 4 and 8 Tesla. The MVCD signal for NO is 2-3 orders higher in magnitude than the typical MVCD signals observed for diamagnetic molecules at the same magnetic field strengths. At each field strength, the MVCD spectrum for the $^{2}\Pi_{1/2}$ and $^{2}\Pi_{3/2}$ components in both the P and R-branches showed the same sign pattern and similar intensity, in terms of $\Delta A/A$, for the observed A-term MVCD.
