CH- AND CD-STRETCHING VIBRATIONAL CIRCULAR DICHROISM IN $(S,S)-12,3-^{2}H_{2}$]OXIRANE

This is the simplest molecule for which VCD has been recorded to date. The spectra, which consist of a positively biased (+,-) couplet the CH-stretching region and a negatively biased (+,-) couplet in the CD-stretching region, can be understood in terms of the coupled oscillator and ring current mechanisms of VCD
