THE C-O STRETCHING BAND IN THE RAMAN SPECTRUM OF METHANOL: SOME EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENT AND ASSOCIATION

At lower concentrations of $CH_{3}OH$ (5 mole \% ) in $CCI_{4}, CS_{2}$, and $CHCI_{3}$, the band assumes a structure best understood in terms of an open dimer.
