Author Institution: Molecular Spectroscopy Laboratory, Department of Physics and AstronomyThe University of Tennessee Molecular Spectroscopy Laboratory has successfully operated the five meter Littrow spectrometer in the one to five micrometer region with a resolution better than $0.020 cm^{-1}$. Designed to work in the one to 25 $\mu$m region, the monochromator is a Littrow type which double passes a $20 \times 40$ cm, 79/mm Bausch and Lamb grating blazed at $63^{\circ} 26^{\prime}$. In the six to $25/ \mu$m region, slits 12.5 cm tall will be used to improve through-put. Tests of the instrument in the 6-25 $\mu$m region are scheduled for mid-1973. Resolution test data will be presented for the 1-5 $\mu$m region. Calibration is optimized...
