Hanscom Field, BedfordAbsorption spectra of $D_{2}$ and HD have been investigated in the $800-1100 {\AA}$ region with a 6.65 m normal-incidence vacuum spectrograph in the second order. Analysis was carried through for the $B\leftarrow X (v^{\prime} = 5-20)$ and $C \leftarrow X (v^{\prime} = 0-4)$ bands in $D_{2}$ and for the $B \leftarrow X (v^{\prime} = 5-17)$ and $C \leftarrow X (v^{\prime} = 0-3)$ bands in HD. All these have not been previously analysed in absorption. Molecular constants obtained in this work will be discussed in comparison with previous results
