Author Institution: National Bureau of Standards; Division of Pure Physics, National Research Council of CanadaWe have obtained the Hamiltonian for the vibration-rotation motion of a molecule that has a large amplitude bending degree of freedom (a ``quasi-linear'' molecule). The variation of the moments of inertia with the bending coordinate has been allowed for and we have separated the curvilincar bending degree of freedom from the two other vibrational degrees of freedom $Q_{1}$ and $Q_{3}$ by an appropriate Sayvetz condition. The energy levels of the zeroth-order Hamiltonian obtained by setting $Q_{1} = Q_{2} = 0$ have been obtained and the results will be discussed
