Author Institution: Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering ScienceThe electronic spectra of various unstable aromatic species in solutions have been obtained either by the flash method or by the low-temperature matrix-isolation technique. By carefully analyzing the data, the carrier of the spectra were determined in most cases unambiguously. The unstable species are classified into three groups: [1]. The molecule AR in the lowest triplet state, $^{3}AR. [2]$, the cation $AR^{+}. [3]$. The $radical {\AA} or H{\AA}R$ (Here, R is H or $CH_{2}$).
