Author Institution: The Perkin-Elmer CorporationA Raman spectrometer has been constructed incorporating a continuous helium-neon gas laser source $(6328 \AA)$, a multiple traversal sample cell located outside the laser, a double-pass grating monochromator and a photomultiplier detector. The experimental arrangement will be described with emphasis on the special design considerations involved in using a laser as a Raman source.
