Wish to thank the Deutsche Bundesstifung Umwelt for a grantAuthor Institution: Optisches Institut der Technischen, Universit\""{a}t BerlinWe present recent experimental results on self-, air and noble gas broadening in the $\nu_{1}$ and $\nu_{3}$ band of $SO_{2}$, obtained with a Tunable Diode Laser Spectrometer with pulse driven laser. Our investigations cover the spectral region between $1073 cm^{-1}$ for the $\nu_{1}$ band and the region between $1321 cm^{-1}$ for the $\nu_{3}$ band. For both bands we had investigated mostly lines of the P branch. We determine the broadening coefficient for collisions with $SO_{2}, N_{2}$, air He, Ne, Kr, Ar, and in some cases Xe for 31 lines with $3 \leq J^{\prime\prime} \leq 44$ and 0 $0 ...
