Author Institution: Department of Chemistry, University of Arizona; Department of Chemistry, University of WaterlooThe near infrared electronic spectrum of ScN has been observed in the 1.6 to 1.8 $\mu$m spectral region using a Fourier transform spectrometer. The spectra have been excited in a Sc hollow cathode in the presence of a trace of $N_{2}$. The three bands with band origins at 5820.0944(5), 6051.2858(20) and $6266.1290(13) cm^{-1}$ have been assigned as the 0-0, 1-1 ad 2-2 bands of the $A^{1}\Sigma^{+}-X^{1}\Sigma^{+}$ electronic transition. The principal equilibrium constants for the ground state obtained from the fit of the observed lines are, $B_{c}^{\prime\prime} = 0.554609(17) cm^{-1}$, $r_{c}^{r} = 1.68723(3)$ \AA and the corr...
