Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii; Laser Spectroscopy Facility Department of Chemistry, The Ohio State University, 120 West 18th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210Jet cooled benzyl and p-methylbenzyl radicals have been produced from a heated pulsed nozzle source following laser photolysis of benzyl chloride and chloro-p-xylene, respectively. The laser induce $\alpha$ fluorescence spectra of the $A^{1}$ ($22326 cm^{-1}$) and $6a_{0}^{1}$ ($22432 cm^{-1}$) bands of benzyl and the $0_{0}^{0}$ ($21700 cm^{-1}$) band of p-methylbenzyl were recorded. The results of the rotational analysis of the benzyl bands and the rotational-torsional analysis of the p-methylbenzyl band will be presented
