THE TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THE INFRARED ABSORPTION OF $N_{2}O_{5}$ IN THE REGION 300-400 $cm^{-1}$

In view of this possibility, we have measured the spectrum of $N_{2}O_{5}$ between 250 and 600 $cm^{-1}$ over the temperature range from room temperature to $60^{0}C$ at intervals of $10^{0}C$. The measurements were made at resolutions of both 0.1$cm^{-1}$ and $0.01cm^{-1}$. Spectra of the two major impurities, $NO_{2}$ and $HNO_{3}$, were run under the same conditions in order to compensate their contributions to the $N_{2}O_{5}$ spectra. Furthermore, a spectrum of $N_{2}O_{5}$ at a resolution of $0.002 cm^{-1}$ was run at $-60^{0}C$. These data are being evaluated in an effort to obtain accurate intensity information for the $N_{2}O_{5}$ absorption in this spectral range
