CuOH and CuOD were produced by means of a recently developed hollow-cathode sputtering source. The transitions probed by laser-excitation spectroscopy were found to arise from the (0,0,0)- (0,0,0) band of $a ^{1}A^{\prime\prime}-\tilde{X}^{1}A^{\prime}$ electronic transition. The rotational analyses of the(1,0) and (0,1) rotational subbands of this system is presented. The molecules are well describedas near prolate assymmetric rotors and are bent in both the ground and excited electronic states with bond angles of $111(1)^{\circ}$ and $119(1...
