VIBRATIONAL SPECTRUM OF KETENIMINE ISOLATED IN AN ARGON MATRIX

Phys. 67, 517 (1977).Author Institution:Prominent Infrared absorptions of ketenimine $(H_{2}C=C=NH)$, previously tentatively identified in studies of the reaction of NH with acetylene in an argon $matrix^{1}$, appear in the spectrum of the products of the reaction of excited argon atoms with methyl cyanide trapped in an excess of solid argon at 14 K. The detailed vibrational assignment for ketenimine will be considered, and a least squares force constant adjustment using data for seven isotopic species of ketenimine and assuming the structure obtained in a recent ab initio $calculation^{2}$ will be presented
