Author Institution: Bell LaboratoriesTime and ``site” resolved vibrational energy transfer from specific vibrationa1 levels of electronically excited ND $(A^{3}\Pi)$ to $^{l3}CO$ and $^{12}CO$ in solid Ar has been observed. The transfer quantum yield, and the nonexponential donor time-resolved population, both follow the theoretical expressions for dipole-dipole (F\""{o}rster) kinetics. Transfer from $ND^{*} (v = 2)$ to $^{13}CO$ is exothermic by only $13 cm^{-1}$, and occurs with rate $k \simeq 4.5 \times 10^{6} sec^{-1}$ at a distance of 17 {\AA}.
