Author Institution: Department of Chemistry, California State College at Los AngelesThe infrared and Raman spectra of liquid and solid ($CH_{3})_{3} PNCH_{3}$ have been obtained and the vibrational fundamentals assigned. The spectra and assignments will be presented and discussed in terms of the molecular structure and potential field. The interesting torsional modes have been assigned and barriers to internal rotation have been calculated. The results permit conclusions about the bonding in the molecule to be drawn
