Abstract

Author Institution: Department of Physics, University of Toronto; Department of Physics, Brock UniversityUsing $Ar^{+}$ 4880 excitation the rotational spectrum of oxygen has been obtained with sufficient signal-to-noise ratio that measurements of intensities of the spin satellites of the S (3) and S (5) lines are possible. The agreement with calculated results is excellent. The fundamental vibrational band has been observed with the Q branch lines resolved and with intensity sufficient to see spin structure
