THE BAND SPECTRUM OF THE GaH MOLECULE

Eight bands have been measured and analyzed on the assumption that they arise from a $^{3}\Pi-X {^{1}}\Sigma$ $transition.^{1}$ The following constants have been determined ($cm^{-1})$: [FIGURE] Under the same conditions, a diffuse band system is observed between 4220 \AA and $4850 \AA^{1}$. The vibrational differences of the lower state have been found to agree with those of the ground state given above. The bands appear to be double-headed consistent with $a^{1} \Pi$; upper $state.^{1}$
