THE FAR INFRARED SPECTRUM OF 1,1,1,2, TETRAFLUOROETHANE

The lowest frequency bands are centered about $120 cm^{-1}$, $225 cm^{-1}$, and $350 cm^{-1}$. The lowest frequency band contour is consistent with that to be expected for the torsional oscillation arising from a barrier to internal rotation of 4.2 keals per mole.
