International audienceThis presentation analyzes what I propose to call “critical self-reflexive musicvideos”, i.e. clips that adopt a discursive regime which consists in designatingthemselves, as an audiovisual genre, as the spearheads of a cultural industry whosefunctioning has negative consequences on musical creation. This metacriticalregister is not a prerogative of music videos however it is fascinating to seethe recurrence of its manifestation all along the history of this sector.
