Transaksi E-commerce: Perspektif Hukum Islam

The dynamism of global economy followed by the development of sophisticated information technology, has changed the business transaction model. Former business transactions have been done in traditional model, but the trends of modern business utilize the virtual world that is well known as e-commerce. E-commerce becomes one of contemporary problems in Islamic economic points of view due to: (1) the buyer and seller do not physically meet each other; (2) the absence of object of transaction when transaction is agreed. Because of the omni-presence of Islamic teachings in this un-endless change in life, so to specify the legality of e-commerce in Islamic law, ijtihad is undoubtedly required. On Moslem scholars view, salam is lawful if it meets the principles of Islamic economy in order to fulfill public welfare.
