Pola Konsumsi dan Status Hb Remaja Putri (SMP) di Daerah Endemik Malaria Kec. Baras Kab. Mamuju Utara Sulawesi Barat

Data from several studies show that more than a half of female adolescents in Indonesia have anemia. This study was aimed to know the association of food consumption pattern and hemoglobin (Hb) status of female adolescent of Junior high School in endemic area of malaria. This study was an analytical study with cross sectional design. The population was all of the female adolescent in Junior High School number 3 of Pasang Kayu and have got menstruation. The samples were 95 and taken by purposive sampling method. Data analysis used SPSS program of computer with univariate and bivariate analysis. The study result showed that the energy intake (pValue = 0,669), protein intake (pValue = 0,186), vitamin C intake (pValue = 0,463), vitamin B12 intake (pValue = 0,499) and vitamin B6 intake (pValue = 1.000) have no significant association with hemoglobin (Hb) level. In conclusion, all the intake of nutrient either macronutrient or micronutrient have no significant association with hemoglobin level. It is suggested for the further study not only measure the Hb level but also measure the ferritin level to assess the iron level in human body.Key Words: Food Consumption Pattern, Macronutrient, Micronutrient, HB level
