Creating a Competitive Destination - Challenges and Opportunities Facing Coastal Tourism on the \ud South Coast

The point of this project is to show how a theoretical structure can be applied to destinations along \ud the South Coast to improve their competitiveness. The participants can use this management project \ud to gain an insight into how competitive destinations are created through extensive academic \ud research. The current South Coast product is yet to gain a national reputation and the difference \ud between the competitiveness of destinations along the South Coast is great. Therefore an \ud opportunity is present to collect primary data. This data can be used to analyse the South Coast \ud tourism product, the main strengths and weaknesses present and then make recommendations \ud based on the data
