Low transition temperature mixtures (LTTMs), also known as deep eutectic solvents, show properties that make them suitable as entrainers for extractive distillation. Two different low transition temperature mixtures were considered as potential entrainers for the extractive distillation of the azeotropic mixture (isopropanol + water).
