Periodic solutions of esxternally, periodicaaly driven dynamic systems, consisting of linear components and local nonlinearities are calculated using a time discretisation technique and an arc continuation method. The stability of the periodic solution is determined using Floquet theory. By application of a component mode synthesis technique the linear components are reduced in order to create a compact system model, which can be analysed efficiently
