In this paper, the author explains how he has been lead to examine the New World Eupariini types and to revise the tribu of this area, after his antillean Scarabs usual studies and mainly from the Ataenius species inhabiting the West Indies. Two genus (Batesiana and Martinezia) and two species owning to the second one (Martinezia dutertrei and cambeforti), all new to Science, are described. The remaining species are removed from different genus and assigned to Batesiana (one taxon) and Martinezia (six taxa). Their geographical repartition is given and the biological informations, as published by various authors and mainly for Martinezia dutertrei Chalumeau (excavaticollis Auct.), are reviewed.
