Redécouverte dans les Alpes françaises d'Heliophobus kitti (Schawerda), bona species (N. comb.) (Lépidoptères, Noctuidae Hadeninae)

Only a single capture of Heliophobus kitti (Schawerda), regarded till now as subspecies of H. texturata (Alpheraky), was known in France (Val-d'Isère, Y. de Lajonquière, 1956). During the last years, they have been found again by several entomologists, in Maurienne, Tarentaise (Savoie) and in Romanche's valley (Hautes-Alpes and Isère) by the author. It is no specially rare in Romanche's valley. The study of the syntypes of H. texturata (Alpheraky) (A. Sulcs, 1978) and of the specimens from Central Asia conserved in the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle (Paris), makes appear remarkable differences with the european specimens in the habitus and in the genitalia of both sexs. The taxinomic statute of this moth is therefore revised ; H. kitti (Schawerda) is not a subspecies of H. texturata (Alpheraky), but a good species very distinct from H. texturata.Heliophobus kitti (Schawerda), considéré jusqu'à présent comme une sous-espèce d'Heliophobus texturata (Alpheraky), n'était connu en France que par la capture d'un seul spécimen en Savoie (Y. de Lajonquière, 1956). Plusieurs entomologistes l'ont retrouvé ces dernières années en Maurienne et en Tarentaise (Savoie), et l'auteur, dans la haute vallée de la Romanche (Hautes-Alpes et Isère), où il n'est pas très rare, surtout en juin. Les différences observées, dans l'habitus comme dans les armatures génitales des deux sexes, avec les syntypes d'H. texturata d'Asie centrale (A. Sulcs, 1978) et avec des spécimens de même origine conservés dans les collections du Muséum national d'Histoire Naturelle à Paris, amènent à réviser le statut taxinomique de cette Noctuelle qu'il convient désormais de nommer Heliophobus kitti (Schawerda), bona species (n. comb).Dufay Claude.
