This paper explores how the ‘consumerist wonderland’ of Hong Kong, with its fragmented identity and glorified perception of consumption, has produced an urban, spatial situation that has seamlessly circulated the flow of consumption, yet been unintentionally subverted by a passively accepted foreign force.
