The commercial code CFD-ACE is used for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of velocity and temperature distributions in a ventilated room . The parametric study is based on the results of flow and thermal fields obtained from the numerical simulations of three-dimensional models to optimise the location and through flows of a roof-mounted fan to minimise the cooling time of a space once the fan is switched on.
