Artículo de publicación ISIIn this work, the brown algae Macrocystis pyrifera were pretreated with dilute sulfuric acid, water and three different types of ionic liquids (ILs): 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate ([EMIM][OAc]), 1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0] non-5-ene acetate ([DBNH][OAc]) and 1,8-diazabicyclo-[5.4.0]-undec-7-ene-sulfurdioxide-monoethanolamine (DBU-MEASO2- SIL), to disassemble the complex polysaccharide structure. After each pretreatment procedure, enzymatic saccharification was performed to release the monosaccharides.
