The worldwide shipping industry is governed by international maritime law. This study seeks to investigate the impact of the Maritime regulations on the Shipping Industry in Turkey. There have been different changes in the Maritime regulations worldwide and these regulations have various impacts on the operations of the Shipping Industry. MARPOL Annex VI has been revised by IMO to control the Sulphur emission from fuels. This study has collected the data from primary and secondary sources in order to analyse the impact of the implementation of MARPOL Annex VI on shipping companies in Turkey.
